Christmas Cards

Blind veterans at our Brighton centre created some artistic Christmas cards in 2003.

Christmas cards

In 2003, blind veterans at the Brighton Centre created a unique selections of Christmas cards which were put up in the annexe at Ovingdean.

The 35 cards featured traditional Christmas imagery such as puddings, snowmen, reindeers and doves of peace. Different materials were used to produce the images; some were painted, some used a mosaic/montage technique while others used crushed tissue paper and felt.

Each card was a distinct representation of the artistic skills of the veterans using the facilities of the crafts workshop at the centre.
